Principality of Polotsk

Summary

Polotsk was founded prior to 862 AD. Polotsk was subordinated to Kiev in 972 AD and began worshipping Pelor in 988 AD. In 1001 AD, the Principality regained its independence and was the only principality excluded from the inheritance left by Yaroslav the Wise. The Principality remained in the hands of the descendents of Izyaslav. The current Principality is stuck between stronger Russian states, the Order of Heironeous, and the Duchy of Lithuania.
